Communications

We will send you emails and push notifications based on your User Profile settings. From time to time, we may send emails to all our users. We also won’t read your UX.com.au messages unless you have been reported for behaving inappropriately.

Email and push notifications: We may send emails containing news, offers, surveys, or promotions pertaining to UX.com.au. Additionally, UX.com.au may send you emails and/or push notifications informing you of activities (such "new connection") that have been taken on the website. Upon gaining your permission, we will send you these alerts. Please go to the "Notifications" section of your account settings and/or follow the "unsubscribe" instructions provided in each email message if you do not wish to receive emails from us. Please go to the "Push notifications" section of your User Profile in the app to stop receiving push notifications. Please be aware that you will always get system communications (such as those about forgotten user passwords) and legal warnings (such as changes to our policies).

UX Chat: You may chat with other UX.com.au users using our UX Chat feature. Although we have the right to monitor the messenger service in accordance with this Policy, we do not get any personal data from the messenger service (except as set forth in this Privacy Policy). You have the option to cease using UX Chat at any moment, as well as ban or report any other users who try to contact you through the service. Any information you reveal or share with other users through UX Chats or other channels is completely your responsibility. Use great caution when disclosing any personal information to other users using UX Chat, and be aware that UX.com.au is not liable for any information you choose to share with other users.

UX.com.au keeps an eye on how the UX Chat is used in order to enhance its offerings, but it does not read the private messages that users send to one another unless that user has been flagged for acting inappropriately in accordance with our Terms of Use. In the event that we get such a report, we will solely investigate the purportedly improper messages to ascertain if they are in violation of our Terms of Use and what steps, if any, we will take to address the behaviour, which may include terminating users. Everyone who uses UX Chat has the option to ban persons they do not want to connect with there and to quit using the service at any moment.
